A little about me.
I recently completed a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Stirling. I am now studying for my PhD at the University of Plymouth.
My research is looking to determine the differences between novice/trainee divers and experienced divers. For example, does scuba diving make you a certain type of person, or does a certain type of person become a scuba diver? I'll let you know in 3 years!
There are a great number of behavioural or psychological areas of scuba diving in which I wish to explore, from motivation, denial or risk attitudes, to personality, awareness, anxiety and panic. If you have thoughts on any of these, or wish me to expand, then contact me.
I learned to dive through the Stirling Uni SSAC Branch, and have been very fortunate to be able to combine my passion for diving with my chosen field in Psychology. I am fascinated by human behaviours and hope to cover a wide array of psychological aspects with scuba divers.
If you have any further queries about me, or my research feel free to contact me.
